My friend Sarah introduced me to moon salutations several years ago and I've loved them since the first dip into crescent moon. I sometimes use them at the beginning of a restorative class to get the whole body warm, and release any restlessness before settling into our supported holds. I almost always use them in prenatal yoga because side bends, squatting, and gentle flows with the breath work well. Last night I was searching on line for images to draw from for my new yoga fliers and came across this sweet series of illustrations. There's a few poses in there that I've never added into my moon salutes. Maybe we'll give them a whirl in the winter session....
